Creating an engaging and memorable brand experience

We were very lucky to be invited to Spring Garden at Chelsea Flower Show recently and along with having a wonderful day, we’re delighted that it’s given us the chance to review an experiential event and share some of the aspects that we loved and that would be well worth considering for any upcoming events you’re planning.

Curating the perfect atmosphere for your brand
The premise of the event was to create an inviting and calm area for guests to have as a base to enjoy the flower show but also the hospitality within Spring Garden. The event was hosted by caterers AP&Co in collaboration with renowned chefs Skye Gyngell and José Pizarro. If we start with the atmosphere of the space, this is where the team really did a great job. It felt fun, exciting, a space to explore but still calm and relaxed. It represented them well as a brand – there was of course a strong focus on good food, great service but also creativity and creating an overall brilliant event experience.
Looking beyond the food
A fantastic hospitality area run by a caterer could be forgiven for really just focussing on the F&B angle but there is where the event was different. The styling and layout of the spaces was very considered as well as the guest experience. Having smaller areas and gardens within the larger space really meant that it never felt too crowded, even on a busy day. It also allowed for some fun ‘surprise and delight’ moments as you navigated around the space – finding a new bar, a seating area or an experience.

Our favourite parts of Chelsea Flower Show
It's hard to shortlist as it was brilliant from start to finish, but if we had to, our favourite parts of the day were; Being part of the show – getting to go to Chelsea Flower Show is really special. There’s such a buzz in London about it and we loved being part of that. It’s also lovely to have the space to use as a base. The show is BUSY and being able to escape that is really welcomed.
Free flowing champagne – this will always get a thumbs up from us. What an absolute treat. For those not wanting champagne though the drinks list was endless, included lots of cocktails and great softs.
The screen printing – this was such an unexpected touch and really fun. If you’re like us and seem to have a large array of tea towels marking your travels, you’ll know that adding to the collection is always welcomed. We had the opportunity to screen print our own memento tea towel which is now proudly on display in the kitchen. We did also love the flower crown making - such a relevant activity for the environment.
In summary, the overall experience was great and we’re proud to call AP&Co one of our suppliers. Seeing them in action on such an operationally demanding job is always fantastic and gives us reassurance as to why we recommend them to so many clients.
