AN ESCAPE TO THE WILD
We are finding that so many of our couples and so many of the companies and brands we work with are looking for venues outside of London. This is where a private hire of Heckfield Place really is an incredible option. The beautifully restored country house is now an incredible 45 bedroom hotel along with amazing event spaces. Heckfield Place boasts 2 incredible restaurants, a blank canvas, super flexible event space, an AMAZING screening room, a spa, outdoor sun room, beautiful reception rooms and its own wine cellar. It’s quite an extensive list!
The hotel can be hired exclusively on a nightly basis. All 45 rooms can be hired along with all the event spaces, restaurants and spa. A private hire of Heckfield Place is seriously special and absolutely creates the ‘wow’ factor for your event. We find that retreat style events and companies looking to do less formal conferences work well here. For weddings, we find the venue suits couples looking for understated glamour, a home from home feel but with seriously impressive quality.

From the moment you arrive, down the long driveway, it’s clear that Heckfield Place is a really special venue. The approach to the hotel feels grand without being showy. Almost as if you’re inviting guests to your house for a country escape. The arrival lounges and reception spaces are so beautifully designed. Everything has been thought through. The furnishings, perfectly chosen. The flowers, artfully installed. The lighting so spot on, it creates instant atmosphere.
There's just something about Heckfield. It's hard to put your finger on it. When you're there you never want to leave. When you've left, you can't wait to go back. Maybe it's slightly addictive now we come to think about it.
WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU PRIVATE HIRE HECKFIELD PLACE?
With a private hire of Heckfield Place your guests will check in on arrival, their bags whisked away to their rooms. From there the space is yours for your visit. Perhaps start with a welcome lunch in the earthy, rustic Hearth restaurant. Food is cooked on the open grill and served family style. It's all about going back to basics and focussing on old cooking methods. Perfect for a relaxed start to your event. Where you go from here depends on your format. The restaurant seats up to 80, the reception rooms are perfect for lazy afternoons enjoying tea and cake. At some point you have to show a video or watch a film in order to use the screening room. Seating just over 60 guests, the leather bound armchairs, individual lamps, sumptuous velvet décor and the impressive AV made for a truly incredible place to deliver powerful messages.
There are 45 rooms ranging in categories from 'wow this is impressive' through to 'OMG this is bigger than my London flat' although of course with slightly more formal room names. When you start to look at the rooms where you can spend the night you'll soon see why this is the spot that Harry and Meghan chose for their babymoon location.
THE ETHOS
If we didn't love the venue enough we then discovered their ethos. Especially in relation to the catering, it's all about sustainability and home grown, in season produce. As much as possible is grown or reared on their farm. They invest time, energy, resources and funds into the grounds and farm to ensure they're being kept and managed responsibly. They have recently been certified for their soil health - such a key part of the food cycle often forgotten. As a result, you won't be able to order avocado on toast here and you know what, we love them for that. Skye Gyngell leads the charge in the kitchen and she's a force to be reckoned with. Calmly spoken, inspiring and warm, she leads a team to create incredible menus. The toasted cheese sandwiches are a killer hangover cure, we can assure you.

You can hire the event spaces individually however in our opinion, the best experience is offered through exclusive hire. There are three levels of exclusive hire depending on whether you'd like to just hire the house, or the full site. The full estate hire is of course the dream - this includes all 45 bedrooms, two restaurants, a private cinema, event spaces, and the estate grounds - ensuring privacy and creative flexibility.
